Kaltenbach's completely new KBS1051 mitring structural steel bandsaw is claimed to be the world's fastest. In a recent demonstration, HEM400 steel beam was repeatedly cut in a remarkable 83 sec.
The machine fully exploits the cutting performance benefits of TCT blades (bi-metal blades can also be used), using powerful and proven servomotor ballscrew down-feed technology.
Optimum cutting performance is achieved when the KBS1051 is combined with Kaltenbach's Auto-Feed Control (for dynamic, auto-sensing and adjustment of the band-cutting angle 'during' the cutting cycle) throughout a changing cross-section with minimum cutting edge contact area, throughout a mitring range of -30°/90°/+45°. Maximum material capacity is 1,030 by 500 mm down to a minimum of 30 by 10 mm.
The KBS1051 bandsaw, when linked with Kaltenbach's new AS1051 auto-sorter, becomes a fully automated structural sawing system, including automatic removal of trim-cuts and remnants.
Kaltenbach Logistical Processing Control (KLPC) is common to the company's new sawing machines and processes as is the new Kaltenbach turquoise and grey corporate livery.
